Information on Practicals and Schedule for this week!!

HiGuys!
Practical Records are being distributed in the college study center. The cost of the Practical records are Rs. 100/- each. You could contact the staff at the college centre and get a copy.

As you are all aware we have two subjects for practicals this year
  1. DTP ( Desktop Publishing) and
  2. Multimedia
The due date for submitting the completed records are 1st week of March. As for the actual practicals classes are concerned, since most of us are aware of these subjects we do not find the need to attend the classes at the college lab. Like last year we could work on the exercise given in the practical records on our own at home and save the output on a CD and submit the same along with the record.

For those who are new to these subjects and need assistance could attend the practical session at the college lab any time during the weekdays except Tuesday between 10 am and 6pm including Sunday's.

And those of you who need help could let us know in advance so that we could fix a particular day and time to guide you. There is no college faculty available for these subjects. Please let us know in the next week's class.

Schedule for this week (22nd Sunday 2009)
Time: 11 am to 6 pm

This week we have a organized a special lecture cum demo on
"How to prepare for a Interview"

This lecture cum demo session includes guidances on
  1. How to prepare for an interview,
  2. Dress Code
  3. Body Language
  4. Postures
  5. Points to consider after Interview etc.
This particular class has been organized on the behest of all of us as most of us keep attending interviews and keep committing certain mistakes without our knowledge. This particular lecdem, I am sure will benefit all of us a lot and throw insights on how an interview is conducted and the process of selection all from a HR perspective.

So Guys, Pl do attend without fail. Let's grab this opportunity and improve our communication skills. Time: 11 am to 1pm

For the afternoon session we have Video Editing.
Time: 2pm to 6pm

Hope to see you all there.

P.S.The final theory exams are commencing from May 19th onwards

The Digital Photography Book by Scott Kelby

The Digital Photography Book by Scott Kelby

Have'nt read it yet, i think Daya can edit this post & give us a more detailed in-sight

ColourLovers.com- a designer's guide through Colour

I've been working with colours for the past couple of years and getting the right balance is always challenging.
Do you go with the colours of the logo or do you come up with new colours which suit the purpose of the site.

After much googling, i found this site "http://www.colourlovers.com/". A very helpful site with enough colour palettes for one to go through in spare time. A good search option with various parameters like HUE, keywords etc,.
You could also register & create your own palettes to share with the world.

Apart from Color [or Colour] Palettes, it also has a very interesting BLOG which is updated oftnely.
Coloury Patterns !! Web & Design Trends & loads more...

I felt this website very helpful.
Thought I'd share,
-Deepak
